Q:- You are often best remembered as "detective Kate Mahoney", the leading character of Lady Blue (1985-86). What do you remember best about Lady Blue? Lady Blue lasted just one season. Why, in your opinion?

A:- Lady Blue was a lot of fun. They brought me down to an actual Chicago police shooting range to teach me to shoot, and real police officers instructed me. I even got to fire a machine gun. In real life however, I'm afraid of guns and wouldn't want to own one, but when I'm playing a character I can "get into" things I normally wouldn't. For example the movie Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town, I had never driven a motorcycle in my life, and they tried to teach me in about three days. I got so I could kind of ride but every time I stopped the bike it fell over. Soon the crew members were placing bets on how many times a day I would "drop" the bike, and the other "Chopper Chicks" didn't want to ride next to me for fear I would knock them over too. So I practiced and practiced and by the end of the shoot I was a pretty good rider, but as soon as the job was over I never wanted to ride a motorcycle again. It's kind of ironic that I am so often cast in "action" type roles because I'm really a coward. Maybe it's because I have a deep voice. You asked why Lady Blue was cancelled. Low ratings and bad "demographics". Which means that most of the people who watched the show weren't the segment of society the advertisers wanted to attract. The show was also criticized for being so violent.

Q:- Recently, you starred in a number of major shows - from Renegade to The Sentinel, from J.A.G. to Silk Stalkings. How do you manage switching from a character to another? How long does it take studying a part and rehearsing?

A:- It's easy to switch characters because most of the time there's a lot of space between roles. Also I'm a very emotional person and can kind of identify with a lot of personality types, even "crazy" ones I'm afraid. To answer the second part of your question, in TV there's usually no rehearsal time so I learn my lines and figure out the character as best as I can and sort of hope for the best.

Q:- You experienced playing many features movies, TV movies and TV shows. Did you feel any differences between playing for television and playing for cinema?

A:- Not really, except in features there's usually more time.

Q:- What is the movie you loved most, in your filmography? And what is the most rewarding part you've ever played?

A:- Well, I really like Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town not because of the film itself which is pretty awful actually but because I love the title and because it's probably the only time in my life I'll ever run around in black leather chaps with no horse in sight...

Q:- Chicago Hope: I still don't understand why your character (detective Halmora) was cancelled. What is the real story about it?

A:- They abruptly changed the writing staff and dropped the character. It was a disappointment.

Q:- Your preferences as a spectator: What are your favourite actors and directors?

A:- I love so many actors and directors. Susan Sarandon is a favorite because she's so strong and sexy and feminine in the best sense of the word. And I love the Coen brothers movies.

Q:- Maybe this one is a touchy subject, or maybe just a stupid one. However let me ask this question. I remember some nudity at the very beginning of your career, and nothing at all shortly after (since 1986, if I'm not wrong). Is it just a mere coincidence or was it your own choice - a personal, political or artistic choice?

A:- Actually nudity doesn't bother me at all unless it's obviously just to sell tickets. I haven't done nudity lately because it just hasn't come up.

Q:- Are you interested in other than acting - I mean, would you like writing, directing, producing?

A:- I love to write fiction. Maybe one day it will lead to writing a screenplay.

Q:- What are you doing right now? Can you give us a sneak preview of your next appearances?

A:- Right now I'm just auditioning. A few months ago I did some guest appearances on Ally McBeal and Walker Texas Ranger.

Q:- Something personal. What are your main interests off stage?

A:- I love doing Yoga and teach it as well. I also take college classes. I dropped out when I was doing Falcon Crest and have always wanted to finish my degree.

Q:- Tell us something about your personal preferences. Your favourite... book, kind of music, food, place to live, vacation spot...

A:- I love the central California coast, Big Sur and Monterey. It's one of the most beautiful areas of seen in the world and I've traveled a lot. I love to travel and I hope to see the entire world in my lifetime. Musically I have very eclectic tastes, everything from alternative rock to classical. I love to visit museums, recently the new Getty Center opened in Los Angeles, and it's spectacular.

Q:- Your secret wish is...

A:- If I told you it wouldn't be a secret!
